Our girl Tommy has always been a good girl… if you like bad girls, lol. We were honestly nervous about sending her to training because she’s the most sensitive creature who’s ever lived with us…timid, a bit fearful, incredibly smart, and extraordinarily stubborn.
We’re so fortunate to have met Jen! She is an incredible trainer. After a three-week board and train, Tommy came home transformed. She’s confident, curious, and ready to go for easy walks instead of the reactive, unpredictable ones we’d gotten used to. She barely barks now, listens beautifully, and even snuggles up to strangers (which we never thought we’d see!).
We are all sooo happy. Jen gave us our sweet, confident girl back.. and then some. Highly recommend!

Long post, but if you are trying to decide whether to use Training by Jen LLC, it is worth the read.
About 8 weeks ago, I adopted Boots from the Tulsa Animal Shelter. He was scheduled to be euthanized that day at 6:00 p.m.
When I brought him home, Boots started displaying challenging behaviors. Trying to correct those behaviors, I immediately dove into watching training videos and attempting to mimic those procedures. I read articles and blogs about training. I tried methods suggested by other people.
When I inquired about training from large-scale, multi-franchised companies, the prices were high, and there was no guarantee of success or long-lasting results.

I felt frustration and sadness. I had questions, and I needed direction. I did not understand what was happening between Boots and me. I knew the behaviors were not changing, and I knew I felt frustrated, confused, and at times sadness.
Another Google Search and I came across Jen’s website.
The first thing that stood out to me on her website was the statement:
“A Dog Trainer That Cares Just As Much As You Do.”
I needed someone who cared — not only about the dog, but about the situation we were in. I emailed Mrs. Jen, and to my surprise, her response was quick and informative.
I agreed to schedule an evaluation session.
Jen showed up on time, and before she even met Boots, she took time to listen to me. I did not feel rushed or dismissed. That meant a lot to me.
We moved to the area where I was keeping Boots, and within an hour, Boots was sitting in the crate — and HE WAS QUIET!!!
I was speechless.
In the six weeks I had him, I had never seen him sit calmly in his kennel. He was only quiet when the lights were off and a blanket was draped over the crate.
Jen comes with a wealth and depth of knowledge. Rooted in that wealth and depth of knowledge is CARE!
Mrs. Jen cares. She cares about the dog and the owner. She was not only observing Boots — she was coaching me and for the FIRST time since he arrived, I felt hopeful.
For people who love dogs, it is heavy to feel out of control and fearful.
She was patient, kind, and honest. I cried three times while she was there.
I am so grateful that I emailed her that day.
It was one of the best decisions I made for Boots, my other dog Socks, and myself.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Training by Jen! In just 4 short lessons, Jennifer completely transformed our dogs. Before, they were dragging us all over the neighborhood, pulling nonstop, and reacting intensely whenever they saw other dogs. Walks were stressful—for us, for them, and honestly for the whole neighborhood.
But Jennifer’s training and techniques have worked wonders. Our dogs now walk calmly right by our side at our pace, and their reactivity has decreased so much that we finally feel safe and confident walking them. It’s like night and day—their behavior has done a complete 360!
Jennifer is not only knowledgeable but also patient and encouraging. She gave us tools we can actually use, and the results speak for themselves. Our walks have gone from stressful to enjoyable, and we feel like we can finally relax and enjoy being out with our pups.

Ms. Jen was amazing! My pit bull Trevor was extremely anxious and dog aggressive before going to Ms. Jen. The dog we got back after 4 weeks was legitimately UNBELIEVABLY calm and composed. This has been huge because it’s allowed him to be fully integrated into day to day family life as opposed to having to be an outside only dog. Communication was amazing the entire time Trevor was boarded, daily photos and videos kept us super comfortable that he was taken care of and learning a ton. He was boarded over Thanksgiving and Ms. Jen and the fam even made him a turkey day plate 🫶🏽! The review caps out at 5 stars but I would go higher if I could - forever grateful!!!

I have absolutely loved working with Jen. She helped us improve on obedience, recall and off leash skill during the board and train program. My boy Cannoli adores her to pieces and has the best time when he stays with her for boarding. Jen is trustworthy and compassionate and always accommodating. We are so thankful to have her and highly recommend her to anyone.

Jen has trained our miniature goldendoodle Cooper. He was with her for two weeks. During that two weeks we got an update every night. We could tell in the videos he was so happy and being taken good care of. When we picked him up we had our own training for a couple hours with additional day or two of meet up lessons to cover anything we had issues with. Honestly the issues are us needing additional training because Cooper is behaving wonderfully. We can now take him in public and he stays by our side. He loose leash walks with us. We tell him to come and Cooper comes to us. I highly recommend Jen to train any dog. She knows her stuff and is very caring.

Jen is amazing and we're so happy we had our dog train with her. We were increasingly worried about our dog's worsening reactive/anxious behavior and we had a trip coming up to stay with family and their pets in two weeks and we were pressed for time. Jen was able to accommodate four lessons in two weeks instead of four weeks for us and worked with us on specific behaviors we were concerned with (focusing attention on us, manners, loose leash walking, how to handle being around people). Jen spent half the time training us, the owners, (which was SO necessary because we were so scared of being too mean, that basically our dog had us wrapped around his paws) on how to set our dog up for success and to correct the right way. We loved the lessons so much, we decided to have our dog do a board-and-train with her after.
We can't recommend her enough! She taught us how to communicate with our dog effectively and we finally have the tools needed to improve his behavior more and more~Google Reviews

Jen is absolutely amazing! I recently adopted a 5 month old Pomeranian puppy that was completely out of control! He had the zoomies nonstop, wouldn’t sleep at night, barked for hours at a time when crated, climbed all over me and wouldn’t come to me when called! After only 3 weeks of the board and train program with Jen he is a whole new dog! So much improvement…he sleeps through the night in his crate without a single bark, comes when called, sits when told and quickly settles after experiencing excitement over the arrival of company! I was frustrated and in tears when I reached out to Jen and now I love and enjoy every minute with my fluffy little guy! If your dog needs his manners adjusted call Jen now! you will be glad you did! We have 2 dog aggressive pit mixes. They have been awful to walk when we encounter other dogs.
Jen was able to get them to walk without pulling us, and corrected them from barking at other dogs/rabbits/etc.
Highly recommend Jen for training needs.

Jen was flexible with our schedule and helped us with so many valuable manners. We went from not being able to play with our pup without getting nipped to being able to play for hours happily. Walks are a breeze now. We can "place" her anywhere with confidence, knowing she won't leave until we say. The dog is happier, we are happier- I guess money can buy happiness, and Jen is worth every penny!

Jen is a wonderful trainer that really cares about her furry friends. We had a stubborn, unruly, two yr old mini schnauzer that would totally lose control around people and other dogs. After 3 weeks of boarding/training with Jen, our dog came home following commands consistently, but more importantly, he'd learned to self-sooth and be more confident in stressful situations. Jen kept us updated with pics and videos. I would highly recommend Jen because having a well-mannered dog is not just a wish, it can be a reality with individualized, professional training. We can now bring him along to public spaces and enjoy him being on "work-mode" while going on a walk or shopping through a crowded store. Jen also trained us to keep his training going. She is amazing!

Hear Katie and Angus’ Story
